The Executive Housekeeper is responsible for the overall cleanliness and maintenance of the hotel, ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction and service quality. This role requires a strong leader who can motivate and train a team to deliver exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities- Housekeeping Operations
- Maintain hotel cleanliness standards for guest rooms and public areas, inspecting to ensure standards are met.
- Train staff in all aspects of housekeeping, including guest service.
- Administer guest satisfaction inspection procedures and reports.
- Maintain key control and lost-and-found, ensuring staff follows correct procedures.
- Plan work schedules and room assignments with minimal disruption to guests.
- Be flexible and willing to perform other tasks as necessary or requested.
- Wear hotel uniform and adhere to professional grooming standards.
- Hotel is a smoke-free environment.
- Participate in all training as assigned.
- Responsible for maintaining a clean work environment meeting local County Health Codes and Franchise Quality assurance requirements.
- Guest Service
- Maintain guest service as the driving philosophy of the hotel.
- Personally demonstrate a commitment to guest service by responding promptly to guests' needs with interest and concern in satisfying every guest.
- Ensure hotel staff, including new hires, are trained to meet service standards.
- Develop added-value customer service programs regarding housekeeping services.
- Communicate with guests about hotel promotions, local attractions, and points of interest.
- Empower hotel staff to deliver great guest service by encouraging responsiveness to guests' needs.
- Meet or exceed hotel guest satisfaction measures.
- Ensure hotel standards and services contribute to the delivery of consistent guest service.
- Safety and Security
- Understand and implement laws applying to housekeeping supplies and chemicals.
- Recognize and correct conditions creating security, fire, or accident hazards.
- Understand and implement hotel's key control system.
- Additional responsibilities may be added per immediate supervisor.
- Computer Experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, data entry, and database management systems.
- Emotional Intelligence
- Emotionally competent, able to effectively manage disruptive emotions and impulses.
- Engage every guest in conversation and recognition.
- Resolve any guest issue immediately.
- Promote the hotel by demonstrating a high level of positive attitude and energy to serve guests.
