Machinist Assistant

At Industrial Trade Services, we are seeking a skilled Machinist Assistant to join our team. This role will provide technical support to our journeyman millwrights in the installation and maintenance of industrial equipment.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a related field and possess strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work accurately within precise limits. They will be required to read and interpret blueprints, layout plans, and other schematic drawings to determine work procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist journeyman millwrights in the installation and maintenance of industrial equipment
• Read and interpret blueprints, layout plans, and other schematic drawings
• Dismantle machines using hand tools and power tools
• Moves machinery and equipment using hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks
• Construct foundations for machines using hand tools and building materials

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in a related field
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to work accurately within precise limits
• Physical demands include regular use of hands and fingers to feel, handle, or operate objects, tools, or controls; frequent sitting; and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds
