Job Description:

As a Pharmacy Technician at Walgreens, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and service. You will assist pharmacists in the practice of pharmacy, ensuring accurate and efficient dispensing of medications. Your strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will make you an asset to our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist pharmacists in the dispensing of medications, including retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceuticals.
  • Verify patient information and medication orders to ensure accuracy.
  • Process prescriptions, including entering patient and drug information into pharmacy systems.
  • Provide excellent customer service, answering questions and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist with inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals.
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to maintain certification and stay up-to-date on the latest pharmacy practices.

Requirements:

  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
  • Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
  • Prefer good math skills and computer skills.
