Job Summary

This position is sign-on bonus eligible. Registered Respiratory Therapists are eligible for a $20,000 sign-on bonus with a 2-year commitment for full-time and some part-time positions. In addition to our robust benefits packages and paid time off, you may be eligible to participate in the Respiratory Clinical Ladder upon employment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinates and supervises clinical activities of the cardiopulmonary staff.
  • Ensures the appropriate quality of care is administered as designated by physician orders or protocol.
  • Conducts orientation for new employees and coordinates continual education of staff.
  • Maintains and evaluates supplies and equipment.
  • Ensures that JCAHO standards and organization clinical policies are being followed.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of departmental goals.
  • Provides direct patient care as needed.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved school of Respiratory Care required.
  • Credentialed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care required.
  • Currently licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner for the state of North Carolina required.
  • Associates degree in Respiratory Therapy with a minimum of two years in a Respiratory Care Department or a RRT equivalent with a minimum of five years in a Respiratory Care Department required.
  • Working knowledge of all phases of Respiratory Care technology pertinent to this position.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Basic Life Support for healthcare providers thru the American Heart Association required.
