Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Therapist to join our team at Outer Cape Health Services. As a Mental Health Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing mental health services to students enrolled in the PASS Program. About the Role

The Mental Health Therapist will be responsible for conducting individual assessments of students for anxiety, depression, substance use disorder, and trauma. They will also conduct on-site referrals to services for students in need of support and facilitate communication with parents/guardians, schools, and outside medical and behavioral health provider organizations. Additionally, the Mental Health Therapist will participate in a multi-disciplinary approach to the behavioral health care of students and collaborate with the PASS Program Director and Student Support Director to create appropriate psychoeducational and therapeutic groups.

Key Responsibilities

* Conduct individual assessments of students for anxiety, depression, SUD, and trauma in an individual counseling session on site
* Conduct on-site referral to services for students in need of services
* Facilitate communication about the referral to services with the parent/caregiver, schools, and outside medical and behavioral health provider organizations
* Participate in a multi-disciplinary approach to the behavioral health care of students
* Collaborate with the PASS Program Director and Student Support Director to create appropriate psychoeducational and therapeutic groups to serve the students

Requirements

This salaried position requires a Master's degree in psychology, social work, or a related field, and at least one year of experience. LCSW, LICSW, or LMHC is preferred. The ideal candidate will have one to two years' experience in behavioral health services, specifically evidence-based interventions. They must be CPR certified and have experience working with adolescents, substance abuse, addiction and recovery, mental illness, and physical and sexual abuse. Bilingual and bicultural capabilities are helpful. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, as well as proficiency in computer skills including Outlook, Microsoft Office, and OneDrive. The ability to adhere to strict confidentiality standards and demonstrate excellent judgment and problem-solving skills are essential.

What We Offer

Outer Cape Health Services offers a competitive salary of $85,000 per year, paid over 12 months. The position works school-based hours and schedule, roughly 30 hours/week for 10 months/year. The benefits package includes comprehensive health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, and a 403(b) retirement plan. We also offer generous paid time off, holidays, and sick leave. The estimated annual salary range is $80,000 - $100,000.
