Position Summary: Darwill, Inc. is a leading print and marketing communications company recognized for delivering high-quality printed materials across various markets. We offer a comprehensive range of services including data acquisition, integrated marketing solutions, custom print production, and direct mail services, ensuring a seamless production process that meets client timelines and budgets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate Stahl folder machinery on the production floor according to the quality standards set by the Production Supervisor.
- Set up and manage pocket folder/gluer/imaging equipment.
- Complete necessary production documentation accurately.
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure standards are met.
- Follow job specifications and any special instructions provided.
- Maintain adherence to production schedules and quality benchmarks.
- Keep the work area organized and clean.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
- Report directly to the Bindery Supervisor.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Be prepared to work overtime as required to fulfill production needs.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in reading and writing English.
- Able to comprehend and follow detailed instructions.
- Experience in setting up and operating relevant machinery.
- Capability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Preferred: 2+ years of experience in a bindery role.
- Consistent and reliable attendance is essential.
- Solid mathematical skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to recognize and address basic machine operational issues.
- Comfortable collaborating within a team environment.
Education Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent vocational training.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for 8 to 12 hours and walk for 3 hours.
- Lift weights up to 50 pounds.
- Engage in intermittent bending and squatting for up to 3 hours.
- Perform repetitive hand movements for extended periods.
- Reach above and below shoulder height as necessary.
