Compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and education.
Benefits will commence on the 31st day of employment, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and access to a 401k retirement plan with employer matching. Employees are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as per applicable law.
Overview: We are looking for a dedicated and technically proficient Desktop Support Technician to deliver exceptional support for computer systems. The responsibilities of the Desktop Support Technician encompass resolving user inquiries related to hardware, software, and networking challenges, overseeing the management, maintenance, and enhancement of computer systems and peripherals, and educating users on fundamental hardware and software operations. The ideal candidate should possess a comprehensive understanding of computer systems and network functionalities, along with a meticulous attention to detail. The objective is to establish and sustain updated and effective computer systems and networks to enhance the role of technology in business continuity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Resolve user inquiries related to hardware, software, and networking.
- Guide customers through the installation of applications and computer peripherals.
- Install, upgrade, support, and troubleshoot printers, computer hardware, and authorized peripheral devices.
- Conduct routine preventative maintenance on computers, laptops, printers, and other authorized peripheral devices.
- Diagnose and rectify software, hardware, and network issues.
- Engage with various computer platforms in a multi-layered client-server environment.
- Ensure seamless interconnectivity of desktop computers with diverse systems, including validation systems, file servers, email servers, computer conferencing systems, application servers, and administrative systems.
- Assist in the creation and upkeep of user manuals and guidelines.
- Identify and report system issues to vendors, and monitor and evaluate fixes to ensure effective resolution.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience as a Desktop Support Technician or in a similar capacity.
- In-depth knowledge of computer systems, hardware, and networking.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities.
- Capacity to articulate technical issues and solutions in a clear and comprehensible manner.
- A/V support experience is a significant advantage.
