About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced Financial Operations Specialist to join our dynamic team at Jobot. As a key member of our Finance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, journal entries, and bank reconciliation.
- Conduct regular ledger processes, prepare financial statements and reports, and compile and analyze financial reporting packages.
- Prepare internal and external financial reports, ensuring they comply with accounting standards and regulations.
- Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
- Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support.
- Conduct regular internal audits and assist with external audits.
- Manage the full cycle of accounts payable and receivable.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date filing systems.
- Perform monthly payroll functions, including processing, answering employee questions, fixing processing errors, and distributing checks.
- Coordinate with the finance team to complete assigned accounting tasks within deadlines.
- Evaluate computerized accounting systems and provide recommendations to the IT team for performance improvements.
- Generate financial reports and statements for management review.
- Assist in budget preparation and expense management activities for assigned accounts.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in accounting or related field.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and financial software programs.
- High proficiency in all aspects of corporate accounting and all pertinent GAAP, SEC rules and regulations, including Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
- Experience with creating financial statements and financial reporting.
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data.
