About the Job

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our team as a Supervising Provider for our Nurse Practitioners in Georgia. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for providing clinical supervision, guidance, and support to our NPs, ensuring high standards of psychiatric care.

This is a part-time, fully remote role that requires the candidate to hold a valid Georgia medical license, specialize in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and have a strong commitment to collaborative patient care. The position involves entering into a nurse protocol agreement with our NPs to provide oversight, support, and guidance in accordance with state regulations.

Responsibilities:

  1. Enter into and maintain a nurse protocol agreement with Nurse Practitioners, ensuring compliance with Georgia state requirements.
  2. Provide clinical supervision, guidance, and support to Nurse Practitioners, ensuring high standards of psychiatric care.
  3. Be available for regular remote consultations with NPs, offering expertise and support in complex cases and clinical decision-making.
  4. Ensure that all practices comply with state laws, regulations, and organizational policies related to NP supervision.
  5. Foster open and effective remote communication with NPs and other healthcare team members to promote a collaborative care environment.
  6. Maintain accurate and timely documentation related to the supervision and nurse protocol agreement as required by state regulations.
  7. Stay current with best practices, advances in psychiatry, and changes in healthcare regulations that impact NP practice.

Requirements:

  • Active and unrestricted medical license to practice psychiatry in the state of Georgia.
  • Board-certified in Psychiatry and Child/Adolescent psychiatry.
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in psychiatry preferred.
  • Prior experience working in a nurse protocol/collaborative agreement or supervisory role with Nurse Practitioners is highly desirable.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective remote interaction.
  • Knowledge of state laws and regulations governing NP practice and collaborative agreements in Georgia.
  • Active professional liability insurance

Salary Range: $120,000 - $180,000 per year based on location and experience.
