About the Role

Vets Hired is seeking a highly skilled Airport Operations Officer to join our team. As an Airport Operations Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our airport facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to airport patrons, responding to inquiries and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Airport Inspections: Conduct daily terminal inspections to ensure compliance with FAA regulations and identify potential safety hazards.
  • Communication and Liaison: Serve as a liaison between airport departments and tenants, providing information and support to ensure seamless operations.
  • Incident Reporting: Document and report all incidents, including noise complaints and security issues, to ensure proper handling and resolution.
  • Work Orders and Maintenance: Input and submit work orders for airport maintenance and care, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
  • Emergency Response: Respond effectively to alerts and emergency situations, coordinating communications and information sharing to mitigate the impact on airport operations.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher in a business, public administration, or aviation-related field preferred.
  • Experience: Two years of experience in aviation, airport operations, or a related field required.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Valid driver's license with a good driving record required; Movement Area certification may be required for some positions.
  • Other Requirements: Ability to pass a TSA background check; availability to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Airport Regulations: Familiarity with FAA regulations and airport policies.
  • Communication Skills: Effective oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate with diverse individuals.
  • Technical Skills: Basic computer skills, with proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
