As an Airport Operations Officer with Vets Hired, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our airport facilities. Your primary responsibility will be to provide exceptional customer service to airport patrons, addressing their inquiries and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direction and information to airport patrons on airport operations, services, and resources.
  • Respond to noise complaints and other issues from the surrounding community and neighborhoods.
  • Inspect airport facilities to ensure compliance with FAA regulations and maintain the aesthetic appeal of the airport.
  • Assist airlines with various requests, including fuel or lavatory spill calls, custodial spills, and incident reporting.
  • Keep and maintain records of all communications and incidents, ensuring proper documentation and reporting.
  • Input and submit work orders for airport maintenance and care, verifying accuracy and ensuring timely completion.
  • Act as a liaison between the department and tenants, providing information and service on airport facilities, policies, and operations.
  • Respond effectively to alerts and emergency situations, coordinating communications and information sharing to mitigate the impact on airport operations.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years of experience in aviation, airport operations, or a related field.
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Ability to pass a TSA background check.
  • Availability to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to operate airport video recording systems.
  • Knowledge of FAA regulations and inspection procedures.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate with diverse individuals and groups.
