We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Piedmont Medical Care Corporation.

Job Summary

Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality patient care under the supervision of a physician or registered nurse, adhering to established guidelines and standards.
  • Function as primary support for physicians, assisting with complex procedures, therapies, and tests.
  • Conduct various patient-related activities, such as vital sign measurements, preparing patients for exams, and administering medications (as permitted by state law).
Requirements
  • Minimum Education: High School diploma or GED required; Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program or completion of a Nursing Assistant program required (in lieu of formal education, three years of medical assistant or related clinical experience acceptable).
  • Minimum Experience: Two years of experience in a medical office setting, with completion of a Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant program; or three years of medical assistant or related clinical experience.
  • Licenses/Certifications:
    • BLS certification required;
    • Certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or a similarly recognized certifying organization required;
    • Additional applicable clinical certifications preferred (e.g., Phlebotomy, EKG, X-Ray).
Salary and Benefits
