As a key member of the Overhead Door team, the Manufacturing Supervisor will oversee the daily activities of production employees, ensuring the efficient completion of products while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities- Manage a single shift of up to 80 employees, supervising daily activities and ensuring compliance with safety procedures and regulations.
- Plan and coordinate daily production activities to meet customer expectations, distributing and directing labor as needed.
- Provide cross-training for team members, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
- Oversee training and coaching of employees to ensure adequate understanding of safety, quality, and production procedures.
- Ensure departmental production goals are efficiently met, applying lean/six sigma tools to eliminate process waste and variation.
- 2-3 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Computer literacy: MS Word/Excel, Kronos, Oracle, JD Edwards.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, with occasional bending, pushing/pulling, and reaching.
