Human Resources Management Trainee

BNSF Railway is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Management Trainee to join our team. As a key member of our HR department, you will play a critical role in supporting the recruitment, employee relations, training, and development of our employees.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with HR Matrix, Medical Department, and vendors to process candidates through the pre-employment process.
  • Spearhead projects focused on project management or process improvement.
  • Leverage current recruiting strategies to build a strong pipeline of candidates to support the organization's hiring needs.
  • Administer talent acquisition programs such as Employee Referrals, Sign-on Bonuses, etc.
Requirements:
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's or Graduate degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Business, or a similar degree program from an accredited university.
  • Have and/or will graduate with at least a 2.75 cumulative GPA.
  • Have LESS THAN three (3) years of professional work experience, EXCLUDING internships, part-time jobs, or positions held while pursuing my undergraduate and/or graduate degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior intern experience or less than 3 years of work experience in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Have or have held a leadership position in a campus, community, or extracurricular organization.
  • Completed a degree (or anticipated degree) in Human Resources or Industrial Psychology.
