Position Overview
Memorial Healthcare System is actively seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Rheumatologist to become a vital member of the multi-specialty Memorial Physician Group. This role presents a remarkable opportunity to collaborate with a skilled team of immunology professionals, including allergists/immunologists and pediatric rheumatologists.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and manage a dedicated inpatient adult rheumatology service across all Memorial hospital locations.
- Initially focus on hospital follow-ups with outpatient responsibilities.
- Engage with various subspecialties such as orthopedics, hematology/oncology, and physical medicine and rehabilitation.
- Develop sub-specialty clinics based on personal experience and interests, including but not limited to connective tissue disease, vasculitis, myositis, inflammatory arthritis, fibromyalgia, and complex pain syndromes.
- Participate in shared evening and night call responsibilities under the guidance of the division chief, along with a rotating weekend call schedule.
Compensation and Benefits
This is a full-time employed position within the Memorial Physician Group, offering a competitive benefits package and a compensation structure that reflects training and experience. Professional malpractice and medical liability coverage are provided under sovereign immunity.
