Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cable Installation Specialist to join our team at TEKsystems. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining our network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Network Installation: Install work area outlets for floor, modular furniture, and wall, ensuring that all cables are properly routed and terminated.
  • Closet Installation: Build and install closets, including mounting and installing backboards, cross-connects, racks, patch panels, and fiber optic hardware.
  • Fire-Stopping Procedures: Perform fire-stopping procedures on fire walls, install sleeves, and pull cable through sleeves and core penetration.
  • Device Termination: Terminate low-voltage devices, ensuring that all connections are secure and meet industry standards.
  • Administrative Tasks: Complete all paperwork accurately and on time, including timesheets, material transfers, work orders, change orders, and tool transfers.
  • Quality and Safety: Adhere to and participate in all company, customer, and industry quality and safety standards and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Previous experience in telecommunications, electrical engineering, or other related fields.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with telecommunications equipment and network infrastructure.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, strong attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
