Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Civil Survey Data Technician to join our team at Encompass Services, LLC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing office data reductions, calculations, and checks, as well as assisting with field surveys and data collection.

Responsibilities
  • Convert field survey data to computer map form using AutoCAD Civil 3D and Trimble Business Center software
  • Prepare as-built drawings and databases of construction projects
  • Prepare alta surveys and land survey plats
  • Prepare full topographic maps with surface creation using AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Review client's plans for compliance with surveying protocols and company standards
  • Prepare maps of new project areas for inclusion into GIS
  • Maintain horizontal and vertical control database
  • Prepare alignment files (.RXLs) utilizing Trimble Business Center
  • Prepare specialty maps for client use
Requirements
  • Minimum 2-5 years' experience in surveying or a related field
  • Basic understanding of survey procedures and data collection
  • Ability to work on multiple projects using raw field data and computer data
  • Ability to apply land surveying methodologies, formulas, principles, and techniques to solve surveying related problems
  • Extensive knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and Trimble Business Center
  • Working knowledge of Trimble GPS units and data collectors is preferred
