Job Overview

CMI Group Aerospace & Defense is a leading manufacturer of precision aerospace components. We are seeking an experienced Aerospace First Article Inspector to join our team.

Estimated Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to competitive pay, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, 401(k) with company match, and company-funded Profit Sharing plan.

Job Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing mechanical inspections of machined aerospace parts using hand tools, micrometers, calipers, surface plate layout tools, dial bore, etc. They will also have experience with manual CMM and DCC CMM, PC-DMIS software, and basic computer knowledge.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in aerospace inspection manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of ASME Y14.5 and GD&T required
  • Experience with micrometers, optical comparator, height gages, profilometer
  • CMM experience (PC-DMIS, QC5000, Brown and Sharp Reflex)
