As a Prep Cook, you play a crucial role in shaping children's understanding of nutrition and balanced diets. You will foster a collaborative environment that promotes community and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and prepare nutritious meals tailored to the dietary needs of children, ensuring all nutritional standards are met.
- Maintain the safety of all children by diligently tracking food allergies and communicating these to educators on a daily basis during food deliveries.
- Follow stringent food safety, handling, and sanitation protocols to guarantee proper food storage and handling.
- Collaborate with the Center Leadership team to procure necessary food and supplies while maintaining accurate inventory records as mandated by local and state regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a positive demeanor towards parents and children, ensuring effective communication.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in food preparation and cooking.
- Possession of a food handling certificate or willingness to obtain one within 90 days of employment.
- Ability to lift at least 25 lbs.
Compensation:
$19.00 per hour, Sign-on Bonus $500, Childcare, Learning and Development, Benefits, Paid Time-Off.
