Job Summary


We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery team at Saint Luke's Hospital. As a Labor and Delivery Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care to a diverse population, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure excellent outcomes.


Key Responsibilities


• Provide direct patient care to patients in labor and delivery, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
• Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account patient needs, preferences, and cultural backgrounds
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and satisfaction
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information, including vital signs, lab results, and medication administration
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care transitions


Qualifications


• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current Texas State License for Registered Nurse
• BLS certification (AHA) within 60 days of hire
• ACLS certification (AHA) within 60 days of hire
• NRP certification (AHA) within 60 days of hire
• Fetal Monitoring certification (GNOSIS and AWHONN) within 30 days of hire
• S.T.A.B.L.E. certification (Level 2 Nursery) within 6 months of hire
• PALS certification (AHA) within 60 days of hire
