Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team at Sonic Healthcare USA. As a Phlebotomist, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and collecting high-quality specimens for laboratory testing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect blood and non-blood specimens from patients of all ages
  • Perform venipuncture and other phlebotomy procedures with precision and care
  • Ensure accurate and efficient specimen processing, labeling, and test ordering
  • Champion safety, compliance, and quality control in the laboratory
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Previous phlebotomy training or experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic computer and data entry skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years of laboratory training or experience in specimen collection and processing
  • Certification from the American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians

Work Environment

This role will have routine access to Protected Health Information (PHI). Employees will be trained on reasonable safeguards and are expected to maintain strict confidentiality, as well as abide by all applicable privacy and security standards.
