Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Orthopaedic Surgery Coordinator at Beacon Orthopaedic Partners MSO LLC. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling surgeries, as well as providing administrative support to our physicians and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Operative Coordination
    • Coordinate pre-operative meetings with patients to complete necessary documentation and obtain consents
    • Educate patients on procedure locations, times, and logistics
    • Coordinate activities with ambulatory surgery centers and hospitals
  • Administrative Support
    • Provide administrative support to physicians and staff, including scheduling appointments and managing calendars
    • Coordinate travel arrangements and assist with presentations and certification activities
    • Assist with outreach to colleges, high schools, primary care physicians, professional teams, and athletes
  • Medical Assistant Duties
    • Perform duties of a medical assistant, including casting, wound checks, dressing changes, patient intakes, and coordination of patient flow
    • Assist with physical therapy requests, off-work requests, and school notes
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance
    • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and biohazardous disposal procedures
    • Facilitate scheduling of outpatient testing and pre-certification
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1-2 years of experience in a medical or administrative setting preferred
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
