Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough sampling of raw materials and packaging as they arrive at the facility.
  • Analyze and test samples from production lines, meticulously documenting results in both physical and digital formats.
  • Address initial troubleshooting for operational challenges, including quality discrepancies and supplier-related issues.
  • Collaborate with production teams to resolve quality concerns and enhance manufacturing efficiency.
  • Relay findings and test outcomes to relevant team members promptly.
  • Perform regular audits of production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Execute physical and microbiological testing of dairy products in line with established protocols.
  • Identify and communicate any deviations from quality standards effectively.
  • Maintain accurate records of quality control activities and documentation.
  • Prepare and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Conduct environmental monitoring post-cleaning processes and report any irregularities.
  • Support both internal and external quality audits and participate in product recall simulations.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and quality assurance procedures.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational practices.
  • Assist in addressing technical inquiries regarding our products and processes.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and management to foster a positive work environment.

Qualifications

  • An Associate's degree is required; a Bachelor's degree in Dairy or Food Science, Biology, or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of one to two years of quality control experience in a manufacturing setting is essential.
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and quality assurance practices is necessary.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are required to interact effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy are critical in all aspects of the role.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing business needs are essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with assistance and perform various physical tasks.
  • Capability to work in diverse environmental conditions.
  • Must be comfortable working with dairy ingredients.
