Chess Instructor

Are you passionate about chess and eager to share your knowledge with others? Do you have a knack for teaching and mentoring? We're seeking experienced chess tutors to join our dynamic team at Chess Wizards

About the Role:

• Deliver engaging and interactive chess lessons to students aged 5-15
• Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to different skill levels and learning styles
• Provide guidance and support to students, promoting a love for chess and good sportsmanship
• Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and inclusive learning environment

What We Offer:

• Competitive hourly rate: $55-$75 per session
• Flexible scheduling: 1-5 classes per week, afternoons only
• Travel compensation: Provided for trips over 12.5 miles

Essential Qualities:

• Strong chess skills and teaching/tutoring experience
• USCF rating is a plus, but not required
• Ability to connect chess problem-solving with real-life challenges
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Capacity to drive between locations
• Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances
