We are seeking a highly skilled Radiochemist to join our faculty team at the University of California, San Francisco. As a Radiochemist Faculty, you will be responsible for developing an independent research program in radiopharmaceutical chemistry, collaborating with faculty and researchers to advance the development of new molecular imaging agents, and teaching residents, fellows, medical students, and masters students.
Key Responsibilities- Develop an independent research program in radiopharmaceutical chemistry, with a focus on the radiosynthesis of new radiopharmaceutical agents.
- Collaborate with faculty and researchers to advance the development of new molecular imaging agents, from early tracer development to first-in-man clinical studies.
- Teach residents, fellows, medical students, and masters students in radiopharmaceutical chemistry and related fields.
- Contribute to the development of new synthetic and radiosynthetic methodologies, GMP production, automation, and small molecule chemistry.
- Interact with basic scientists and clinical researchers to plan, conduct, and evaluate research data.
- PhD, MD/PhD, or equivalent degree in Chemistry, Radiochemistry, Bioengineering, or a related field.
- Postgraduate or postdoctoral training and research experience, preferably at least two years combined.
- Current and/or pending qualifications upon submission, including board eligibility/certification, medical licensure, etc.
