Job Summary

The Center for Communications Research - CCR-P: Princeton is seeking a highly skilled Lead Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for managing our High Performance Computing (HPC) resources, including compute clusters, parallel file systems, and high-speed networks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recommend technologies and work with vendors to specify equipment
  • Supervise or participate in installation, maintenance, administration, and troubleshooting of systems
  • Install software to support research and ensure compliance with DoD and sponsoring Agency requirements
  • Act as part of a team to maintain the environment in which the HPC systems function and support the mission of IDA/CCR-P and its sponsor

Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience in a related field
  • Eight years minimum experience in Information Technology, including at least six in systems administration
  • Advanced subject matter expertise in design, administration, and support of servers, systems, and software using Linux/Unix
  • Experience in more than one of the following areas: HPC systems, high-performance storage technologies, HPC or High Throughput Computing job allocation technologies, parallel computing libraries and environments, high-performance network technologies, authentication, access control, compliance, and security in a DOD environment, Open Source software installation and support
