Sr/Principal Hardware Architect

Job Overview

SRI International is seeking a highly skilled Sr/Principal Hardware Architect to join our team. As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for designing and developing cutting-edge hardware systems for various applications.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research and development of novel hardware architectures for imaging, vision, and RF sensing domains.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and integrate operational prototypes.
  • Develop and champion new commercial, venture, and government opportunities.
  • Write and win proposals to secure funding from various government and commercial agencies.
  • Provide technical and business presentations to external clients, academic, and government/industry audiences.

Qualifications

  • PhD or Master's in electrical engineering or computer science with an emphasis in machine learning, algorithm understanding for hardware co-design, and assisting a hardware development team to implement embedded systems.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant post-schooling research and algorithm co-design experience.
  • Due to government requirements, candidates must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident. Current active clearance is a plus.
  • Ability to lead projects and people, as well as skills to work as a part of a team to achieve technical and project goals.

Benefits

SRI International offers a competitive salary range of $180,000-$239,166, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including a 401(k) plan, health insurance, and paid time off.
