Position Summary:

The Semiconductor Reliability Test Engineer will be responsible for providing expert technical support within the Environmental Screening division. This role encompasses a variety of testing methodologies such as thermal shock, temperature cycling, acceleration testing, PIND testing, fine/gross leak testing, burn-in, HTOL, HAST, CSAM, salt atmosphere testing, solderability assessments, and ESD testing across a diverse array of devices including diodes, inductors, capacitors, transistors, ASICs, and microprocessors. Collaboration with Sales & Marketing, Program Managers, Engineering teams, external clients, and suppliers is essential to ensure adherence to customer specifications and military standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish reliability criteria and formulate qualification plans for components assigned by customers.
  • Assist in the development and validation of Burn-in boards.
  • Oversee the design and execution of qualification hardware and software.
  • Conduct internal qualification tests in the quality laboratory (e.g., PC, HAST, HTOL, ELFR, TC, EDR) and coordinate qualification tests with external partners.
  • Diagnose and resolve software and hardware issues related to environmental screening and qualification.
  • Create test setup documentation, generate test reports, and compile data as required by clients.
  • Possess a solid understanding of electromechanical components and thermal management strategies.
  • Monitor testing processes during stress cycles utilizing data logging techniques.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in Semiconductor Reliability Engineering.
  • Proficient knowledge and experience in bench testing and instrumentation.
  • Hands-on experience in the Military and Aerospace sectors is highly desirable.
  • Strong foundational engineering skills with the ability to apply knowledge effectively in reliability testing.
  • Solid mathematical and statistical proficiency.
  • In-depth understanding of mechanical, electrical, and thermal failure modes in semiconductor materials.
  • Experience in conducting failure analysis.
  • IMPORTANT NOTE: This position is located in an ITAR-registered facility; US Person (US Citizen or US Permanent Resident) status is required.
