Overview:

The Middleware Engineer will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and management of cloud-based applications and services. This position involves collaborating with cloud service providers and utilizing various technologies to create, test, and deploy software solutions that align with organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect, implement, and oversee cloud-based solutions, infrastructure, and applications.
  • Lead the creation of cloud-native applications, ensuring they are scalable, reliable, and perform optimally.
  • Possess extensive knowledge of cloud computing platforms such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in automation technologies and Infrastructure as Code (IAC) for effective infrastructure management.
  • Utilize scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash for automation tasks.
  • Implement API gateways and manage inter-service communication, ensuring seamless integration between various services. Experience with middleware technologies like DDS (Data Distribution Service) and MQTT is essential.
  • Engage in coding within Docker and ROS2 environments.
  • Design, implement, and maintain Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for automated testing, integration, and deployment processes.
  • Support the definition of requirements for Azure and AWS architectural standards related to cloud infrastructure.
  • Create container images and run containerized applications, optimizing them for performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess, design, implement, and integrate customer requirements.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for solutions and infrastructure.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure issues while ensuring compliance with security protocols.
  • Maintain and execute software changes utilizing the .NET framework.
  • Review quality-related issues and propose improvements.
  • Document and track issues, maintaining a comprehensive list throughout the program's lifecycle.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and trends in cloud computing.
  • Exhibit a strong understanding of fundamental cloud architecture principles.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in Information Technology, Information Security, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • At least 4 years of experience working with Azure & DevOps, Socket Programming, and other cloud services.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in AWS integration and pipeline setup.
  • At least 4 years of experience in software development using Python, C, .NET & .NET Core, C#, Angular, Node.js, HTML5, Bootstrap, JavaScript, jQuery, and ReactJS.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in backend cloud software development and maintenance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Big Data and Data Science.
  • Experience in Cyber Security.
  • Experience in Network programming and management.
  • Familiarity with software changes using the .NET framework.
  • Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, or Google Professional Cloud Architect are advantageous.
