Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Work Planning: Organizes the deployment of personnel, tools, materials, and equipment on a weekly basis. Develops self-help projects for lodging facilities, adhering to established work priorities and sequences. Monitors and reports on the progress of work assignments, requesting overtime as necessary. Coordinates with other supervisors to align work functions.
  2. Technical Oversight: Provides guidance and support for complex tasks. Inspects lodging facilities and equipment to ensure proper maintenance and identifies any minor plumbing or electrical issues. Reports potential delays and investigates cost-related problems.
  3. Staff Management: Communicates management programs to team members. Involved in the selection and promotion of staff within the maintenance department.

    Establishes leave schedules, sets performance standards, and prepares disciplinary recommendations as needed.

    Offers advice to enhance worker performance and addresses grievances informally.
  4. Safety and Maintenance: Ensures adherence to safety protocols and maintains accurate work records. Responsible for the upkeep of equipment, ensuring it is in safe working condition.

    Conducts routine inspections and minor maintenance on vehicles.

  5. Construction and Repairs: Performs minor construction tasks and repairs based on specifications and measurements.

    Installs and replaces various building components as necessary.

  6. Painting and Finishing: Prepares surfaces for painting, mixes materials, and applies coatings.

    Conducts surface preparation through various methods.

  7. Electrical Maintenance: Conducts minor electrical repairs by replacing fixtures and components.
  8. Equipment Maintenance: Responsible for the upkeep of gasoline-powered tools, ensuring they are operational.

    Performs routine maintenance tasks.

  9. Vehicle Operation: Operates vehicles weighing up to 10,000 pounds for various tasks.
  10. Tool Management: Utilizes and maintains a variety of tools and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels.

Other related duties may be assigned as necessary.


Qualifications:

Candidates must demonstrate the ability to plan, schedule, and manage the work of subordinates, along with a foundational understanding of administrative and personnel management. Experience in supervisory roles or project management is essential. Knowledge in plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and painting trades is required, along with proficiency in using relevant tools and machinery. Effective communication skills in English are necessary.
