We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join our dedicated IT infrastructure team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for implementing new technologies, working with technology and product leaders, and formulating architecture for network and security infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement new technologies to drive business efficiencies and support employee and customer revenue streams.
  • Work with technology and product leaders to create network and security infrastructure for project initiatives.
  • Formulate architecture for network and security infrastructure in adherence to Intelsat's policies and standards.
  • Manage and execute on the IT Infrastructure technology roadmap.
  • Partner with internal and external teams on new projects and infrastructure evolution.
  • Collaborate with the Information Assurance team on vulnerability assessments, audits, and security incidents.
  • Keep abreast of industry security trends and developments, as well as applicable government regulations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Systems Engineering or equivalent degree.
  • 10+ years of IT experience.
  • 5 years of people management experience.
  • Experience maintaining technology portfolios and establishing rules of engagement with infrastructure and application teams.
  • Experience leading project teams and other groups in the Enterprise in deploying infrastructure and related services.
  • In-depth knowledge of Network and Security architecture, protocols, standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrable experience with Cisco IOS and Juniper or Palo Alto platforms and good understanding of respective best practice architectures and design principles.
  • Familiarity with enterprise security tools relating to endpoint protection, email, web, and DNS security.
  • In-depth knowledge of Security architecture, Security and network protocols, standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience formulating and developing dashboards incorporating relevant roadmap and operational metrics.
  • This role is subject to ITAR; candidates must be a US Person.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Multiple network, security, and project management related certifications.
  • Expert level understanding of converged network designs that include QoS and WAN optimization.
  • Experience with routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, RIPv2, MPLS, PBR, HSRP, VRRP, GLBP).
  • Experience in managing geographically dispersed teams.
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and fix security risks.
  • Experience analyzing needs of the company as well as employee development and strong understanding of business goals.
