PSI Solutions is seeking a School-Based LPN dedicated to assisting Students with Physical Disabilities in the Cleveland Area.

A DAY IN THE ROLE OF A SCHOOL HEALTH LPN

In your capacity as the LPN for Physical Disabilities, you will provide individualized care to a medically fragile student within their classroom and potentially during their transportation to and from school. Your role will involve delivering services that promote the health and wellness of students while addressing their specific health conditions. With a friendly demeanor, you will engage warmly with these children, always demonstrating patience and kindness. The students we support may encounter various developmental, educational, and health challenges that they are striving to overcome.

You will continuously evaluate their needs and deliver medical interventions, first aid, and medication administration in accordance with the policies set forth by the school district and PSI Solutions. Additionally, you will be responsible for completing and maintaining the necessary documentation of student health records. Collaboration with educational professionals will be key, as you foster healthy relationships between community health providers, students, parents, and the broader community.

Working closely with families, you will assist them in navigating health challenges within the school setting. Your medical expertise will be instrumental in enhancing the lives of children in ways that are both enjoyable and fulfilling.

Qualifications

  • Current LPN license issued by the Ohio Board of Nursing
  • Experience with medically fragile children is highly preferred
  • Knowledgeable about communicable disease prevention and medication protocols
  • Understanding of HIPAA regulations and ability to manage confidential information appropriately
  • Experience with tracheostomy care, ventilator care, tube feeding, and catheterization is strongly preferred
  • Required collaborative and constructive team-building skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
