OBJECTIVE:
Efficiently handling and overseeing clients' Victim Compensation Fund (VCF) claims. A Claims Processing Specialist (CPS) collaborates with their VCF Team to guarantee that all claims are accurately documented in our systems and that all pertinent information has been duly submitted on behalf of the client to the VCF. The CPS will also assist the client in gathering all necessary documentation to ensure the successful outcome of the claim. Additionally, the CPS will compile all essential evidence to optimize the client's VCF Award.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Process claims as assigned by the CPS Team Supervisors and Attorneys
  • Serve as the primary contact for the client; liaise with third-party organizations as required to collect all necessary documentation for each VCF claim
  • Submit claims to the VCF that accurately represent the client's 9/11 exposure
  • Distribute and manage documents to the client, third parties, the VCF, and the WTCHP
  • Collaborate with the VCF Team, Supervisors, and Attorneys to ensure all inquiries related to VCF cases are addressed correctly and thoroughly
  • Respond promptly to VCF requests for missing or additional information
  • Modify and appeal claims as necessary
  • Record communications, documents, and claim submissions in client Salesforce accounts
  • Draft cover letters that articulate the client's 9/11 exposure and the severity of their 9/11-related illnesses to facilitate the approval and success of the claim
  • Participate in ongoing training to enhance skills in the role of a CPS

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Understanding of legal regulations and guidelines pertinent to the VCF and WTCHP
  • Comprehensive knowledge of processes and principles related to VCF claims
  • Superior writing skills, particularly in persuasive writing and documentation
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Salesforce, and various business applications
  • Innovative and analytical thinker, capable of strategizing and problem-solving
  • Familiarity with medical documentation is advantageous
  • Commitment to personal accountability and adherence to ethical standards and professional conduct
  • Team player with outstanding interpersonal abilities
  • Proficiency in Mandarin and/or Cantonese is a plus
  • Willingness to work in the office four days a week


COMPENSATION:

$60,000 - $70,000
