Treatment Wound Care Nurse Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Treatment Wound Care Nurse to join our team at Summit LTC Management LLC. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in wound care and treatment, with the ability to provide compassionate and high-quality care to our residents.
The Treatment Wound Care Nurse will be responsible for assessing and following up on each resident's need for and result of treatments provided in the facility or a designated area of the facility. They will communicate with other licensed staff to ensure that residents do not decrease their functional abilities, such as skin breakdown, contractures, weight loss, skin tears, and so forth.
The successful candidate will also assist in providing education, assessment, and appropriate infection control programs. They will work as a team member to ensure that treatments are coordinated with other events of the day and that residents' care plans are followed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and follow up on residents' need for and result of treatments
- Communicate with other licensed staff to ensure high-quality care
- Provide education, assessment, and infection control programs
- Assist in coordinating treatments with other events of the day
- Ensure residents' care plans are followed
Requirements:
- Current and active license to practice as an RN or LVN in this state
- CPR certification
- One year of experience as a nurse in a skilled rehabilitation, skilled nursing, or Long-Term Care (LTC) environment
- Experience with electronic medical records
