Wound Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Treatment Wound Care Nurse to join our compassionate care-giving team at Summit LTC Management LLC. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing and following up on each resident\u2019s need for and result of treatments provided in the facility or a designated area of the facility.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Assess and follow up on each resident\u2019s need for and result of treatments provided in the facility or a designated area of the facility.
* Communicate with other Licensed Staff of the facility in assessing needs and results of staff action to ensure residents do not decrease their functional abilities.
* Assist the facility in providing education, assessment, and appropriate infection control programs.
* Work with the facility as a team member to ensure treatments are coordinated with other events of the day.
* Assist the Nursing Department in ensuring residents\u2019 care plans are followed.
* Document on records as per policy and procedures of the facility.
* Participate in staff meetings and in-services as required.

**Requirements:**
* High school diploma or relevant qualification.
* Must possess, as a minimum, a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university, or be a graduate of an approved LVN/RN program.
* Possession of a current valid Texas driver\u2019s license or regular means of transportation to and from work.
* One (1) year of experience as a nurse in a skilled rehabilitation, skilled nursing or Long-Term Care (LTC) environment preferred.
* Experience with electronic medical records preferred.
* Must possess a current and active license to practice as an RN or LVN in this state.
* CPR certification required.
