Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Operating Room RN to join our team at Shields Health Care Group. As a key member of our perioperative team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring a smooth and efficient surgical experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide general nursing care and leadership to patients undergoing surgical procedures
  • Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary caregivers to promote and restore patient health
  • Perform peri-operative assessments and implement nursing interventions to ensure patient safety and comfort
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers to ensure a positive patient experience
  • Participate in staff meetings, department meetings, and in-services to stay up-to-date on best practices and policies

Requirements:

  • Current nursing license in the state of Massachusetts
  • Minimum of one year of experience in ambulatory surgery, outpatient surgery, or OR nursing
  • Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider (BLS) certification
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within one year of hire
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred
