Job Summary

The Diagnostic Medical Sonographer is a key member of our healthcare team, responsible for performing and communicating results of diagnostic examinations using sonography. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate sonographic equipment to perform diagnostic examinations
  • Communicate results to attending physicians and other healthcare professionals
  • Maintain a high standard of medical ethics and adhere to all relevant policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure seamless patient care
  • Perform daily operations of the ultrasound department, including patient scheduling, equipment maintenance, and quality assessment
Requirements
  • Graduate of a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or Cardiovascular Technology Program
  • Current licensure as an MRT or certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers
  • At least one year of experience in abdominal, small parts, neurosonology, and OB/GYN studies
  • Ability to effectively operate sonographic equipment and communicate diagnostic information to healthcare professionals
  • Ability to work efficiently and cope with emergency situations
Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent exposure to radiation and other hazardous materials. The Diagnostic Medical Sonographer must be able to lift and move patients as needed, and work in a variety of positions for extended periods of time.
