Job Summary

The Diagnostic Medical Sonographer is a key member of our healthcare team, responsible for performing and communicating results of diagnostic examinations using sonography. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate sonographic equipment to perform diagnostic examinations
  • Communicate results to attending physicians and other healthcare professionals
  • Maintain a high standard of medical ethics and adhere to all relevant policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with other healthcare staff to ensure effective patient care
  • Perform daily operations of the ultrasound department, including equipment maintenance and quality assessment
Requirements
  • Graduate of a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or Cardiovascular Technology Program
  • Current licensure as an MRT or certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers
  • At least one year of experience in abdominal, small parts, neurosonology, and OB/GYN studies
  • Bilingual status (English, Spanish) is desirable

  • Ability to evaluate sonograms and acquire diagnostic information
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare staff
  • Ability to work efficiently and cope with emergency situations
Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care. The Diagnostic Medical Sonographer will be required to work a variety of shifts, including weekdays, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
