We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Strategic Resources, Inc. as an Immunization Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the immunization program, providing education to patients and healthcare staff, and ensuring compliance with regulations and guidelines.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and evaluate the immunization status and needs of patients, applying knowledge of current vaccine schedules and recommendations.
- Provide education to patients (and parents of minors) on immunizations, including benefits, risks, side effects, aftercare, and schedule for future vaccines.
- Provide and document immunizations to patients as indicated based on health history, health records, and interpretation of immunization schedules and recommendations.
- Provide consultation and education to other healthcare professionals regarding vaccines, including providing orientation and in-service education presentations.
- Serve as liaison with local, county, and state health departments on vaccine-related issues.
- Graduate from an associate, baccalaureate, or graduate nursing program for Registered Nurses located in a State, the District of Columbia, or a U.S. territory accredited by The Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
- Minimum two years of professional experience as a licensed Registered Nurse in a hospital, medical office, or residential setting.
- Experience in a detention/correctional healthcare setting preferred, but not required.
- Certified Correctional Health Professional, Certified Correctional Health Professional - Registered Nurse, or Certified Corrections Nurse credential.
- Ability to communicate proficiently in English (verbal and written) to develop positive rapport with patients, co-workers, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships in a multidisciplinary environment.
This is a full-time position that requires availability to work available day, evening, and night shifts, as well as weekends and holidays. On-call availability is not required for this position.
