Job Summary

The Night Auditor is a critical role at Wingate Galveston East Beach, responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial transactions. As a key member of our hotel operations team, you will be responsible for reconciling all hotel cashier transactions, reviewing and compiling management reports, and ensuring the accuracy of guest billings and city ledger transactions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reconciliation: Reconcile all hotel cashier transactions, including credit card payments and cash handling.
  • Report Preparation: Review, organize, and compile management reports on a timely basis, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Guest Billing: Verify and ensure the accuracy of guest billings and city ledger transactions.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate concerns and/or related issues to all levels of management.
  • Guest Service: Perform guest service agent duties as required, including check-in, check-out, switchboard operation, and reservations.
Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent and/or one year of progressive experience in a hotel or related field.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in computer software and systems, including financial management and reporting tools.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of employees and guests.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Teamwork: Collaborative and team-oriented, with a focus on providing exceptional guest service.
