Job Title: Roadway Engineer (PE) Project Manager - Transportation TxDOT PS&E / Schematic Design

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Roadway Engineer with a Texas PE License to join our Transportation team as a Project Manager. The ideal candidate will have experience in roadway / transportation design and PS&E / schematic design.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage TxDOT roadway design and PS&E / schematic design projects
  • Manage roadway / transportation projects or tasks in support of business needs
  • Assist in managing the workload of design staff including other Engineers, EITs, and technical staff
  • Assist in development and management of project scopes, budgets, and schedules
  • Review transportation designs and detailed plans for accuracy and consistency
  • Project controls updates and progress reports
  • Collaborate with clients and other consultants
  • Assist with business development activities

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering degree
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License in the State of Texas or able and willing to obtain within six months of start date
  • A minimum of 5 to 10 years of progressive design experience on TxDOT roadway / transportation PS&E / schematic design projects
  • Familiarity with MicroStation and/or OpenRoads Designer (ORD)
  • Experience managing design and plan production
  • Strong decision making skills
  • A positive attitude, be self-directed yet a team player, and have a focus on quality, integrity and success
  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff and clients
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
