  • As a skilled Pediatric Nurse Specialist in our neonatal unit, you will provide direct care and management of infants in the special care and newborn nursery.">

We are seeking an experienced Newborn Care Nurse Practitioner to join our team at United Memorial Medical Center. You will attend higher acuity deliveries and be responsible for stabilizing the neonate.

">

This is a full-time opportunity working 3 twelve-hour shifts with a mix of day, evening, and night schedules.

">

Key Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Documentation: Obtain complete, detailed, and accurate patient histories, review patient records, perform physical exams, and record all pertinent data to develop comprehensive medical status, diagnosis, and clinical treatment plan for all assigned patients.">
">

Teamwork is essential in this role, where you will assist the supervising or attending physician with delivering services to neonates, including writing or dictating patient progress notes, issuing diagnostic orders, and transcribing or executing specific orders at the direction of the physician.

You will also provide education, instruction, guidance, and advice to patients regarding medications and treatment, communicate with and counsel family members, and recommend community resources to meet patient and family needs.

A valid NP certification and RN license from the New York State Education Department are required.

Compensation and Benefits:

The salary range for this position is $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year, reflecting your experience and qualifications.
