Salary

The estimated salary for this role is $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition, a $15,000 sign-on bonus is available for newly hired RNs with at least one year of nursing experience.

Job Description

This Clinical Nurse (RN) position is part of the Orthopedic Operating Room team at Duke University Hospital in Durham, North Carolina. As a member of this multidisciplinary team, you will play a critical role in providing advanced orthopedic care for patients with musculoskeletal conditions.

You will work collaboratively with highly skilled surgeons, anesthesiologists, perioperative nurses, surgical technologists, and support staff to ensure the highest patient safety and care standards. Your responsibilities may include preparing patients for surgery, assisting in the operating room, and supporting post-operative recovery.

The unit emphasizes continuous professional development and a strong culture of teamwork, ensuring that patients receive the highest level of care. Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or higher
  • Current registration with North Carolina State Board of Nursing as a registered professional nurse OR current compact RN licensure to practice in the state of North Carolina
  • BLS (or higher) certification required
  • Professional specialty certification (preferred)
