Job Summary:

StarPlus Energy is seeking a highly skilled Quality Inspector to join our team. As a Quality Inspector, you will play a crucial role in supporting laboratory operations, conducting testing on high voltage lithium ion batteries and components. This role requires strong communication, organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to various environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the set-up, execution, and support of testing (audit/inspection) activities
  • Accurately analyze, record and document test (audit/inspection) data, including observations, measurements, and results
  • Prepare and maintain (PM and cleanliness) laboratory equipment and instruments
  • Prepare, store, and dispose of samples according to laboratory requirements
  • Monitor and manage (calibration) lab supplies, consumables, and materials, including spare parts, ensuring adequate stock for ongoing testing
  • Participate in quality control and quality assurance processes to maintain high standards
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Assist in training of new team members
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Propose recommendation for continuous improvements such as methods, standardizations, and evaluations
  • Be able to and willing to assist with investigations and studies
  • Prepare and escalate non-conformance reports and findings

Requirements:

  • Minimum Age: 18 years old
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
  • While travel is unlikely, the ideal candidate will be able to travel, with reasonable prior notice as required (domestic and/or international)
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, or holidays as required
  • Able to use MS Office suite including Word and Excel
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
  • Basic understanding of hand tools & gages

Preferred:

  • Associates Degree, Technical training, or Military experience in technical field
  • Electronics, maintenance, science, chemical, or medical field and/or 2+ years in a quality technician role in lithium ion battery testing
  • Electro-Mechanically inclined
  • Practical use of micrometers, calipers, and other hand measurement tools
  • Ability to read drawings, diagrams, and other technical documents
  • Calibration, CMM, test/laboratory experience
  • Experience/knowledge of inspection and auditing
  • Bilingual in English and Korean

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to sit, walk and stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work around the potential exposure to dust and chemicals
  • Ability to wear appropriate PPE as deemed essential for the job function
  • Ability to lift up to 51 pounds
  • Must be able to work any shift
  • May be exposed to cleanroom environment, dust, solvents, mixing, noise, high temperatures, low humidity, air-conditioned environment, CT Scan, X-Ray, and high-security
