Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our Cardiovascular Surgery team at Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with surgeons, and contributing to the development of innovative clinical practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform admission history and physicals, evaluating patient health conditions and formulating treatment plans.
  • Assist surgeons in the operating room, ensuring accurate data and proper patient positioning.
  • Monitor patient transport to CVICU or PICU as needed.
  • Participate in call rotation, conduct daily hospital rounds, and write orders and progress notes.
  • Handle discharge planning and see patients on assigned clinic days.
  • Advocate for patient and family needs, ensuring the best experience and advancing pediatric health in the community.
Qualifications
  • Clinical Master's Degree as a Physician Assistant.
  • 5 years minimum experience in Cardiovascular Surgery as a First Assist.
  • Current Florida State Licensure as a Physician Assistant.
  • Current BLS and PALS.
  • Current National Certification as a Physician Assistant, Certificate of Added Qualification (CAQ). Cardiovascular/Thoracic Surgery required within three years of hire.
