Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled individual to fulfill the role of Accountant II, contributing to the financial operations within our organization. This position is integral to supporting the financial management and budgetary processes.
Key Responsibilities:
This role encompasses a variety of financial functions, including:
- Conducting departmental analyses and reconciliations.
- Managing billing and accounts receivable assessments.
- Overseeing contract maintenance for departmental services.
- Performing various productivity evaluations.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
Experience:
• A minimum of two years of relevant accounting experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience:
• Experience in hospital or healthcare accounting is highly desirable.
Core Duties:
The following responsibilities are essential to this position:
- Fostering strong relationships with department managers to ensure effective financial controls over cost centers.
- Assessing financial processes to enhance operational efficiency.
- Maintaining the general ledger to ensure accurate financial reporting during month-end processes.
- Providing analytical financial data as required by supervisors or department heads.
- Assisting in the preparation of financial documentation for budgetary and audit purposes.
- Completing specialized accounting tasks accurately and promptly.
- Engaging in educational opportunities to further develop professional skills.
- Supporting initiatives aimed at performance improvement and quality assurance.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to remain seated for extended periods.
Working Environment:
• Office-based environment.
Skills and Abilities:
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in database management and spreadsheet software, particularly Excel.
Scheduled Weekly Hours:
• 40 hours per week.
Exempt Status:
• This position is classified as exempt.
