Clinical Meditech Analyst Job Description

The Clinical Meditech Analyst plays a vital role in supporting clinically focused applications at Roseland Community Hospital. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, analyzing, developing, and maintaining MEDITECH's clinical applications and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external vendors to develop conversion plans for system changes, including communication and maintenance testing.
  • Provide in-service training and assist with continuing education of software to users.
  • Analyze problems, determine cause, and initiate corrective action as needed.
  • Assist with identifying requirements, determining objectives, identifying stakeholders, recommending product solutions, and establishing budgets and timelines.
  • Participate in the design, development, testing, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of new and existing clinical/technical applications with a focus on Meditech system.
  • Configure, modify, test, implement, maintain, and support applications software.
  • Develop thorough application knowledge within specific areas of focus. Write and maintain system documentation.
  • Understand workflow and business requirements and have the ability to build/modify the system to meet business specifications.
  • Develop clear and concise documentation, instruction manuals.
  • Provide ongoing support and maintenance of Test and Live applications, including direct user support.
  • Maintain a high level of interaction with all clinical areas to continually enhance and improve patient care.
  • Perform user training and be available to assist as needed in system implementations.
  • Share on-call duties with other staff within the Information Technology department.
  • Coordinate and participate in both internal and external user group meetings as needed.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in healthcare or clinical application software is required.
  • Candidates must have at least three years of experience in MEDITECH Applications.
  • Able to follow standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data.
  • Must possess excellent communication and analytical skills necessary to resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Proficient computer skills necessary, including Windows operating system and Microsoft office tools.
  • Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team.
  • Self-motivated to deepen understanding of healthcare by producing results in their work.
  • Willingness to work non-standard and/or extended hours as necessary.
