Job Title: Senior SCADA Engineer

We are seeking a talented Senior SCADA Engineer to help us build the future of U.S. energy production from our Broomfield, CO office. As a Senior SCADA Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing SCADA systems for renewable energy projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement SCADA systems for renewable energy projects
  • Develop and maintain SCADA software programming, including SCADA historians and MS SQL servers
  • Experience with Inductive Automation Ignition 7.x or 8.x software is a must
  • Develop and maintain communication protocols for base-level devices, including Modbus, Modbus TCP, OPC, DNP3, SELFast, IEC 61850, and ICCP
  • Work with automation control systems, including RTAC programming, Rockwell PLC and Control Logix programming, and automation device integration
  • Develop and maintain complete SCADA system project life cycles, including FAT and SAT testing and documentation
  • Work with Power Utility scale SCADA system development and design
  • Develop and maintain working knowledge of Utility Meters, Substation RTAC, Protection Relays, NERC CIP requirements, Managed switches, Hirschmans, MOXA, Cisco, Power Plant Networking, Security, and Firewalls
Requirements:
  • BS degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Science Engineering
  • Minimum 3 or more years of proven utility or industrial SCADA experience
  • Ability to communicate complex SCADA and controls concepts to non-domain experts in a collaborative fashion
  • Working knowledge of the renewable energy industry and projects is a plus
  • Familiarity with and ability to stay current on SCADA regulations and standards
