Job Summary

As a Radiology Technologist Associate at Atrium Health, you will play a vital role in facilitating patient care and treatment. Under the supervision of a radiology technologist, you will perform a variety of patient care duties and other professional activities to ensure seamless patient flow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in performing basic diagnostic x-rays, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Provide exceptional patient care, addressing questions and concerns in a professional and empathetic manner.
  • Prepare patients for exams, ensuring accurate and efficient procedures.
  • Retrieve patient orders and requisitions, supporting administrative tasks in the RIS and EMR systems.
  • Collaborate with physicians and technologists to perform diagnostic exams, adhering to established protocols and safety guidelines.
  • Assist with administrative duties, quality assurance, safety, regulatory, and compliance requirements.
  • Provide ancillary clinical support, including assistance with patient transfers and basic care needs.

Physical Requirements

This role requires moderate to heavy physical efforts, including lifting and moving patients, equipment, and supplies. Occasional standing, walking, and sitting are expected, with frequent stretching, bending, twisting, and squatting in the daily operation of the assigned clinical area.

Education, Experience, and Certifications

A high school diploma or GED, along with preliminary coursework toward a certificate or degree in a medical imaging field, is required. Clinical experience and medical clerical skills are preferred.
