About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Retirement Plan Specialist to join our team in New York City. As a key member of our financial planning team, you will have the opportunity to develop new business and provide critical support to our private client group.

Our financial planners are known for their expertise in offering fiduciary guidance to our clients. They work closely with our clients to understand their short- and long-term goals and help them become financially fit.

This is a fully remote position, requiring minimal travel and excellent communication skills. You will be responsible for engaging with retirement plan participants, educating them on their options, and providing personalized guidance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with retirement plan participants to educate them on their options
  • Assist participants in preparing for the financial aspects of retirement
  • Communicate with participants via group meetings and one-on-one sessions
  • Conduct webinars to communicate the retirement plan, when appropriate
  • Bu9ild personal relationships with participants
  • Convey retirement planning subject matter in a simplified way
  • Drive revenue growth within assigned book of business through consultative selling techniques
  • Support new sales and market development initiatives
  • Exhibit understanding of key features and benefits of our products and services
  • Proactively keep Supervisor informed of key activities with assigned clients

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience
  • Certifications/Designations: FINRA Series 6 or 7, 63 and 65 or 66
  • Knowledge/Skill Set: ERISA and Retirement Plan Knowledge. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Life & Health (NY) licensure - required to obtain within first 3-6 months
  • Familiarity with programs such as eMoney Advisor

Compensation and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this role is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, LTD & STD, retirement plan with employer match, parental leave, and more.
